Anderson Cooper gay story, which was unsourced opinions, was on the Out magazine's March 2006 issue. Speculations on his sexual orientation were around ever since. And 6 months later, he commented about his own gay rumors at the interview with New York magazine and his response is as follows:
"You know, I understand why people might be interested. But I just don¡¯t talk about my personal life. It¡¯s a decision I made a long time ago, before I ever even knew anyone would be interested in my personal life. The whole thing about being a reporter is that you're supposed to be an observer and to be able to adapt with any group you¡¯re in, and I don¡¯t want to do anything that threatens that."

His sexual orientation was never confirmed but the answer to "Is he gay?" question is quite positive now.

Sexiest Man Alive

In 2005, he was named as one of the Sexiest Men Alive by People magazine. And he was among the top ten male best-dresser by Vanity Fair magazine in 2004.
